…From an old bill for tombstones, I have recently learned that Ethan Lewis d. Jan'y 8, 1854, ae. 68 years. He d. in Hadlyme, Ct., at uncle Abel's but was buried beside his wife in R.I., probably at Hopkinton where she died.

Paul Lewis, as I learn from noted I made some years ago from my grandmother's recollections of the family history, died and was buried on his farm in Hopkinton (Hopkintown, grandmother called it) R.I. Paul Lewis married Martha, daughter of a Burdick and his wife, Martha Wilcox, who lived in that part of Hopkinton, Known as Stubtown (now Stonington), a few miles form Pendleton's store, near Wine Brook…

Paul Lewis and his wife and Ethan Lewis and His wife are all buried on the old Lewis homestead one mile north of Hopkinton p. 188, Vol. VI. The farm is now owned by Thomas Dorr Main (ca, 1908)
