There are 10 gravestones in the cemetery. Almost all are unreadable, because they are so old. Three were knocked down; several were covered with yellow moss.
The cemetery has links to the Shadburn, Frederick, and Stivers families. John Augustus Frederick, the family patriarch, arrived from Germany and became a prominent landowner in J-town. Samuel Frederick was born around 1791, probably on the land where the cemetery is located. He was married first to Louisa Swearingen, and then to Louisa Brown Furnace. Samuel had eight children. According to the "Final Public Report Cultural History of Charlie Vettiner Park," Samuel's son, Samuel Jr. is buried in the cemetery, along with his wife, Laura O. Smith Frederick. Some sources say that Samuel Sr.'s son, Richard, is also buried here. Samuel F. Stivers, son of Samuel Sr.'s daughter, Caroline, is said to be buried here, and apparently his headstone was readable in 2008 when the report was made. After Caroline's husband, Gideon Stivers Sr., died, Caroline remarried John Shadburn. In addition to the Frederick, Shadburn, and Stivers families, the land is also associated with the Miller family and was known as the Old Miller Farm.
