Bill and Toni's infant son B.J. Everett, who died in 1981, was relocated from the Colorado City Cemetery and the 96 Ranch Family Cemetery was formed in 2001. Within a couple of years, Heather Dee Wulfjen, daughter of Urda and Dwainna Wulfjen, was moved to the 96 Ranch Family Cemetery from another location on the ranch. In 2017 Justin Lee Everett, son of Mike and Debbie Everett, was buried here. In 2019 Anne Everett Johnson, mother of Coleman Johnson, daughter of Billy Jim and Fredalyn Everett was added. At the time of this writing, Spring of 2019, our Wulfjen-Everett Family Cemetery provides a resting place to four family members.
The location of the cemetery provides a serene and undisturbed resting place. Native mesquite and hackberry trees dot the landscape, along with a large pecan tree which was planted in late 1800's. Red oaks, live oaks, and pine trees have been added since the cemetery was formed. Buffalo grass, wildflowers, and rye grass inhabit the area, depending on the season of the year.
Individual family burial areas are bordered by ornate wrought-iron fencing, designed and built by family members. The land continues to be a working cattle ranch, so the fences allow cattle to graze the area. The cemetery provides shade and green grass to livestock.
