The small cemetery is surrounded by a crumbling stone wall. Graves of Livermore family members were exhumed about 1880 and re-interred in Hope Cemetery (village of Newark Valley). Additional field stones remain but have no inscriptions. The site was known locally, throughout the 20th century, as an African-American burial ground. No definite record of the remaining burials has been found.
