Meders Graveyard
Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee, USA
From Gainesboro take Hwy 53 toward Celina and turn right on Dodson Branch Hwy (135) go 20 miles more or less to the Zion Road and turn right. About a mile turn right on Albert Swift Road and about 1/10 of a mile on the right is a barn with a wire fence around three graves and small trees growing. Ben Chaffin said there used to be five graves and two were moved to Crestlawn Cemetery in Putnam County. Mr. Chaffin seems to think it was someone related to Mrs. Hattie (Holloway) Burris/Burroughs that had the graves moved. Copied 20 Dec 1998 assistance of Ben Chaffin and Michael Swift who crossed the fence and dug the stones out and read them off.

One of the moved graves was Mannie Jane Meadows w/o James Samuel Holloway. (This was actually Nancy Jane "Nannie" Meadows Holloway and she was moved to Cookeville City Cemetery. She was put by her husband James Samuel Holloway).
I have come to the conclusion that the last name for the 3 buried here should be Meadows.
Trying to find out if this cemetery is in Jackson Co. or Putnam Co.. Looking at map it looks like Jackson Co. but it gives Cookeville as the address for this area.
