Photos

Today, there are no visible signs that the community of Central ever existed in northwest Marion County. It can be found on maps into the 1910s, however, and there are stories about it passed down through generations and even in issues of the Ocala Evening Star in the late 1890s, which carried a social column about the residents.

There is one tombstone left from the Central cemetery, and that stone is now in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
