Old Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery is located in a field on private property. This was the first cemetery that served Saint John's Lutheran Church; when the new church was built the congregation purchased enough land to include a much larger cemetery. The church served German immigrants and most of those buried in this cemetery were among the first settlers in what eventually was called "the German community." Only a few gravestones are still standing and most are very difficult to read.

Some of the surnames once found in the cemetery are: Beutel, Bischoff, Boehm, Bunsold, Eirich, Ell, Goess, Gunderman, Hegendorfer, Rausch, Rupprecht, Scheiderer, Vandereau, and Zwerner

The last "reading" of this cemetery was done by members of the Union County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society in 1982.
