Wilbur Cemetery is located on the Gorge Road north of Moncton near the intersection of Gorge Road and Ammon Road. It was designated a Local Historic Place for its age, its representation of rural cemeteries in New Brunswick, and for its association with members of families buried here, mainly the Wilburs and the Groundwaters. It was established by Isaac Wilbur Sr. for the use of his family, the first burial being Isaac's first wife Sarah Briggs in 1848. In 1872 Isaac officially deeded land to the Free Christian Baptist General Conference. Many of those buried here were affiliated with the Gorge Church, now part of the Hillside United Baptist Church.
