This church appears to be inactive now (no electricity to building), although the cemetery is still being used for burials. At this writing, the most recent burial was in 2015. The cornerstone says that the church was built in 1929.

This site and its cemetery, has a direct connection with the OLD Friendship AME Cemetery which is some two miles away on SCE&G (SC Electric & Gas Co.) property for the impoundment of Lake Monticello. That cemetery is essentially abandoned.
