In the publication, "Cemeteries and Graveyards of Rutherford County, Tennessee" compiled by Susan G. Daniel, published by Rutherford County Historical Society in 2005, it is listed as Cemetery #368 on page 168.
May have been referred to "Montgomery" or "Nisbett" Cemetery when originally established.
It is also mentioned in the "Nisbett Narrations" by Newton Alexander Nisbet, 1961, page 176. Nisbett family members located the grave-yard in 1957 about 5 miles south of Murfreesboro. They found only a few stones remaining from what appeared to be at least 40 graves.
The LW&T of Joseph A. Montgomery (Oct. 1840) states the grave-yard is located on his farm. In Item 15 he leaves money to buy gravestones for the graves of his father (Hugh), mother (Elizabeth), two brothers (Robert and Hugh) and himself.
Dilton Quadrangle. Go SE on Broad Street-Manchester Highway (US 41). After Rutherford Boulevard intersection, turn right (S) on Elam Road. From Seventh Day Adventist Church on Elam Road, the cemetery is ½ mile E along fence row and about 100 feet S of the fence.
