The original churchyard surrounds the church on all four sides.
A piece of land called "the Bowling Green" was added for burial purposes on the North side in about 1840, raised well above the level of the original, with a stone retaining wall. It was not re-consecrated having previously been used as a burial ground: primitive slate coffins had been found there.
In 1907 a further extension was added. There is no clear line as to where this area begins. It seems that a dividing path was left originally but this has been used for later graves which causes some confusion in dates.
The latest area is clearly laid out in Rows running from South to North. The earliest" Row A" being along the Western edge;" Row Q" being along side a path from the church to the North gate.
The numbers run from 1-35 in most rows, from South to North.
A path was left between graves 15-16 and 17 & 18 which has been since filled hence graves numbered 15A & 17A.
Cremation plots are mostly in a narrow strip to the East of the path to the North Gate but a few are in various other places.
