"The property was purchased in June 2010 and was dedicated by Rabbi Brian Besser in November 2010. Our first interment occurred in June 2011. We have developed the first phase of 509 Burial Rights Lots. You'll find the Cemetery on the west side of Route 100 between Stowe and Morrisville, adjacent to the North Country Animal League. It's 5.3 miles north of Stowe Village. This pristine nine-acre meadow overlooks the mountain landscape; stately pines and maples border the main road with plans for a decorative gate to welcome visitors. In our Master Plan there are several contemplative gardens including our planned Holocaust Memorial. The entire cemetery is surrounded by a Quiet Walking Path and a planned Pergola with an overlook of a natural bird refuge."
As of May, 2016, the JCOGS Web site had been reworked, and the description of the Cemetery had been edited to read as follows:
"We think of our JCOGS Cemetery, Darchei Shalom (Paths of Peace), as the cornerstone of our Jewish community in the mountains — a bridge that connects the generations. For this we are grateful to our supporters who see our sacred site as a place to memorialize those who have passed amongst us.

The cemetery is surrounded by a quiet walking path. A pergola eventually will overlook a natural bird refuge.
"Our cemetery reflects who we are as a pluralistic Jewish Community and is available to both members of JCOGS and non-members. Vermont is a special place for us and for many visitors, as well. We welcome those living outside of our community to consider our cemetery as a final resting place or memorial.
