Add PhotosThis cemetery is sometimes referred to as the Logan Farm Cemetery by some researchers. Also "the McVey graveyard on Logan Farm". Specifically the McVey researchers, including myself.
Location of Logan Family Cemetery is a work in progress.
Listed on the spread sheet are 11 persons including Jacob McVey, who died 9 April 1809. He is the son, of who some of the McVey researchers (including me), sometimes call Old Benjamin McVey (Meve, Mave, Mevee)) who died before Feb. 1781. These folks lived in what was then the South Susquehanna 100. The 100's changed after about 1800 to election districts. But the cemetery is probably in the vicinity of what was then the South Susquehanna 100. Today, that might be in the vicinity of the community of Bay View. This area is in the upper portion of the current North East Election District, which is in the upper center of Cecil County.
William Reed, who died in 1865, and is buried here, was listed in the 1860 Census as living in the 5th District, Bay View, Cecil Co., MD.
"The cemetery is located on Baliff Rd/Old Bay View Road. It is on the turn, near Rt. 95. It changes name on Google map from Old Bay View to Baliff Rd. It is almost on the road. The farm is/was owned by the Logan Family." Gary Burns, 4/21/2015. Thank you Gary.
