Directions to Doak Cemetery:
From Greensboro, Take Lake Brandt Rd. until you come to James Doak Parkway. Turn Right. If you get to 150 you have gone to far. GO down Jmaes Doak Parkway until you come to Pleasant Field Dr. Turn RIght. Go to the end of the Rd. This is a Court. You will see a trail that takes you to the cemetery. The cemetery is about 20 feet beyond where the Rd stops.
Cemetery story:
Forgotten for years, overgrown, a youngish cop stumbles across it during a drugs bust.
A few years later there are plans to develop the area.
Cop persuades developers to develop around the cemetery.
A little later Lucia visits & there's a story in the local paper.
The cemetery is listed in "Family Burying Grounds and Abandoned Church Cemeteries in Guilford County, N.C. and Immediate Environs" Auspices of Earl of Shaftesbury Chapter XVIIth. Century Colonial Dames.

The entry reads as follows: (in 2002)
The Doak Family Cemetery.
From Hwy. No. 150 1/4 mi. east of Lake Brandt Road, proceed south on Royster Road 0.7 mi. and stop at the brick chimney of a burned home.
Looking south from this point, across a cultivated field, the cemetery lies in the second wooded promontory on the eastern edge of the field, carpeted with periwinkle, honeysuckle & undergrowth (ca. 300 yards).
There are at least four primitive headstones, several unmarked sunken gravesites and two carved stones.
