Yowell Homestead Cemetery is located at NW NE Sec. 25, Twp. 37 Range 9 in Arlington Twp. This is the area of old Beaver Switch/Station two miles east of Newburg, Mo. There are thirty located graves, most are marked by fieldstones. Of special interest is six unusually carved stones that resemble the upper torso of a human (head & shoulders). Some say it is of Celtic origin. I know of only two other stones such as these, and they are in Dent county, Mo. I've been informed there were some like these in a Catholic cemetery that was destroyed when the Fort Leonard Wood spur was built. in Pulaski co. Mo.
