First known as the BATES CEMETERY, named for the earliest settlers who lived and died here, the Otsego County Cemetery map lists this cemetery under the name Bourne-Chapman.
It is located on the west side of County Rte 26, not quite a half mile north from the intersection with Tanner Hill Road

It sits at the edge of an apple orchard in an old cow pasture, off the road on private property and is currently being restored by the property owner.

It was last transcribed by Sherlee Rathbone and Cathy Rose in the early 1990s.
