Add PhotosTo replace the Heiligeweg Graveyard a new cemetery was established between the current Passeerdersgracht, the Raamstraat where the entrance was, and Raamplein (muted part of the Lijnbaansgracht) . The cemetery was surrounded by a wooden fence. Like all other cemeteries the place quickly became incorporated into the citys buidings that kept constantly expanding.
After 1866 the cemetery was no longer used. Until 1899 it remained undeveloped land. In that year granted the City of Amsterdam approved the plans for the former cemetery to be allocated for the construction of the new Public Business School (OHS) and a public high school. The school was completed in 1901. The purpose of the site came to light again in 1950 when construction workers during work stumbeld upon remains .
The school building is still there and front of the door on the Raamplein daily busy parking. For years, the School of Business was here , but that was moved a few years ago. The property became in 2001 a national monument.
