2. small monument 1812 War Veteran- 2016
3. Large Stone dedicated and engraved to Noah Morris.
4. a Larger Stone naming those who contributed to the new restoration.
Large Plaque Notes: It should be understood that the names on the plaque represent some of the people who worshiped OR lived in the area. There are likely burials whose name do not appear on the list.
Some on the list may be buried elsewhere.
The smaller plaque is clearer in stating that some are buried elsewhere.
Sources:
Some sources have stated that a person is buried here and it turns out they are buried elsewhere.
Obituaries & death certificates have determined the location of some and have been included, assuming that they were indeed buried as described.
Some obits state buried in Edgar, the assumption being in the African Cemetery.
Many people moved out of the area and the remains were sent back to this cemetery. Several residents lived at the house of refuge in Beeton and at least one of them was buried in their cemetery.
Though there were once a few markers, none remain today. It may well be that the original burials were not marked at all though sources do state there were wooden crosses.
There appears to be some concerns re st. Daney being the same person as Sylvaney, both misspelling of St. Dennis.
Other names may also have variations in spelling.
