Ebenezer Cemetery
Randolph County, Missouri, USA
Located in T52 R15 S12 on the west side of CR 2495. No clear records of this cemetery are known to exist though "Burial in Ebenezer" can be found in obituaries of those listed. Some of these stones can now be found in the Higbee City Cemetery. The only remaining indication of a cemetery is a pole fence which used to enclose the Terrill graves. The current landowner said he thought there may be some stones out of sight in the ground cover.
The burials listed here are from a compilation of newspaper death notices and is far from complete. A circa 1950's newspaper article said there were 200-300 graves. Another article written about the same time said that Confederates killed in the nearby Battle of Silver Creek, aka Roan's Tanyard, on January 8, 1862 are buried in a mass grave in the SE corner. A sunken spot can still be seen in this area.
This land was originally donated by Robert Cornelius for a Church, school and cemetery.
UPDATE: January 2013
As ordered by contributor Diehard 46809256, memorials for some that were known to be buried here whose stones were moved to another cemetery have been deleted. In the interest of keeping burials in Ebenezer together, they are listed here along with their other memorial numbers:
Anna E Tuggle Terrill 76634560
Robert Walton Terrill 76634562
