James' three wives are buried here: Annie B. Riley with an infant son and daughter, Georgie S. and Lucile.
J. Halford, son of James and Georgie is buried here. There are several more crude markers, some are small square shapes others are flat pieces of rock protruding upright from the ground. There are no apparent inscriptions on any of these. Roger Heflin, Macy Godfrey's 1st husband is buried here along with their young son Elden. It is possible their graves are marked in this manner. It is also possible that these stones mark the graves for the two Godfrey children who died either at childbirth or as very young children: Mazzie and Clarence. Henry and Lillie Godfrey's twin children are also buried here.
New information provided by Dink Godfrey, July 2014:
"Currently there are 33 marked burials in the cemetery, which consists of 8 inscribed adult graves, 3 inscribed child graves, 12 field stone marked adult graves, 10 field stone marked child graves. One family member has had their cremains scattered in the cemetery which makes a total of 34 souls currently resting in the cemetery."
South on Brent Town Rd #612 from Court House Rd #609, on left (east) side under the trees where the wooded area begins, before the intersection with Sheldon Lane.
Thanks to the efforts of Dink Godfrey (grandson of Dolly and Irene Godfrey) and other Godfrey Family members, this cemetery has been well maintained; in addition new gravestones have been erected (Dec. 2020) to some graves that were previously unmarked or marked with field stone.
