This abandoned cemetery is located a few miles north of Cambridge City in Jackson Township and is situated on private property, 1/4 mile from the closest public road and not accessible to the public. It is in very poor condition, overgrown with weeds and trees, and most of the stones, which are hard to find, are barely readable, although some are still in very good condition. There is no known official name for the cemetery but it is located on property which was owned by the Myers family in the 1830's when it was first put to use, and the predominate family name found here is Myers. The last burial here was in 1886.

Because of poor available lighting, shadows and the conditions of the stones, many were very hard to photograph. Although the pictures are not always clear the data was verified visually.

In addition to the listed burials, there are about 15 stones here which are totally worn and unreadable.

The data provided for each burial was taken mainly from the stone. Confirming information and additional data, especially for missing stones, was taken from Beverly Yount's "Tombstone Inscriptions in Wayne County Indiana", published in 1962. Ms. Yount's main information came from a D.A.R. survey of the cemetery sometime prior to 1960. She is also known to have added data to her cemetery listings from other public sources such as newspapers and county records.

In deference to the current landowner's requested privacy, the exact location of the cemetery can not be given.

NOTE: All burials with readable stones have a photograph of the stone attached. If there is no photograph, then the stone was not found.

NOTE: Although this approximately one-acre plot of land is surrounded by valuable crop and grazing land, the landowner has not disturbed it in any way and has fenced it off with an electrified fence to prevent intrusion by nearby cattle.
