Lewis (Ludwick) Kemp of Frederick County Maryland entered on section 22 before 1806 and received the patents from the United States government first Sept 4 1807. Then on July 30 1812 For the east half and the southwest quarter section 22.
The School House was stone and half timber with working sashes. which is unique for that time. It was suggested by the owner to use part of an existing structure built by the Powerses family.
The cemetery is maintained by Eastview Rec Center.

This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen between Lewis Kemp and Elizabeth his wife of the county of Montgomery of the one part, and Joseph Kemp, Jonathon Harshman and Alexander Snodgrass Trustees of the original surveyed Township number two of inthe range number seven between the Great and Little Miami Rivers in the same county of the other part witnessed that the said Lewis Kemp for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar sent to the said Lewis Kemp in hand paid the script of which is hereby acknowledged hath Granted bargained aliened convey and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Trustees and their successors in office forever all ways that tract or parcel of land bounded as follows, tract beginning at a stone in the eastern boundary of section twentytwo of township two in range seven between the Great and the Little Miami rivers. Twenty Nine chains South from the North East corner, and running from thence West Four chain to a stone. Thence south Ten chain to a stone. Thence East Four chain to a stone. Thence North Ten chain to the place at beginning. Containing One acre be the same more or less. To erect a School house and Meeting house upon situate lying and being in the County of Montgomery and the State of Ohio to have and to hold the said Granted and bargained premises with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said belonging or in any use appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Trustees and their successors in office forever And the said Lewis Kemp for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant premise and appoint to and with the said Trustees and their successors that be before the unsealing here of be the said Lewis Kemp is the one true sole and lawful owner of the above bargained premises and is lawfully seized and only premised of the same in his own right as a good perfect an absolute state of whereitance in free example and hath in himself good right full power and lawful authority to grant bargain sell convey and confirm the said bargained premises in the manner aforesaid and that the said Trustees and their successors in office shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue at these pursuit lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy posses and enjoy the said demised and bargained premises with the appurtenances free and clear and freely and clearly acquitted exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other gifts grants sales or in accountances of what name or nature so ever. The right in any measure or design obstrict or make void this precise deed Fartheremore the said Lewis Kemp for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth have covenant and engage the above dismissed premises to them the said Trustees and their successors in office against the lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter to warrant secure and defend by these presents in testimony where the said Lewis Kemp and Elizabeth his wife have here unto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written sealed and delivered. This cemetery was part of a controversy. It can be read about in the following papers at the library. Dayton Daily Newspaper 8-13-1978 B-3. Journal Herald July 4 1972. Also (note)
many old graves where said to have been reintered to this place, after it was set up. First burial was 1816 but even older graves where reintered here. There for pre 1816 graves are located here,
