Ward Burial Plot
The remains of another burial ground on the owner's property may be seen on the Peddie School campus, which was once a part of the Ward farm. The inscription on the namestone in the walled area is WARD BURIAL PLOT 1794. According to an account in the Hightstown Gazette for December 19, 1912, the persons buried in this plot were, Michael Ward, died 1706; Benjamin Ward, died 1797; and Ex Ward, died 1778. Nearby Kalomathia House was formerly a Ward farmhouse built in 1832.
