Section 32 Township 29 Range 21 Campbell Township, (City)
From 1400 S. Glenstone go east on Bennett Street about 1/2 mile. Cemetery is behind oil company.
Cemetery located at Langston, which had a mill on the Chadwick Branch of the Frisco Railroad between Springfield and Chadwick. It was a regular stop on this line. The cemetery at one time had a rock fence surrounding it. Time and vandalism in evidence. Brush and poison ivy cover the ground. There are possible 30 field rocks marking graves. Also several grave size indentions. Now only remnants of a brick wall, and a base stone, where a monument was busted off. Owner of the property now will not allow anyone on the premises.

The map I have pinpointed as close as I can. The old address of the cemetery given as 2400 E Bennett St. Springfield, Greene, MO. is now owned by an oil company. An article is available in the Springfield News Leader, July 13, 1993 explaining the circumstances this cemetery is now lost. It was bulldozed and used as a fuel dump. The news article indicated that slaves were buried outside the walls about 150 years before 1993.
