Julia Anna Long Smith and Robert W. Thomas were buried in a small private cemetery on the ranch that Julia and her husband, William Densley "Seco" Smith and their children lived upon. It was located on Benton Creek about three miles northwest of Medina, TX in Bandera County.

Directions: Travel west on Hwy. 16, 1.4 miles from the Medina Post Office to Benton Creek Rd. Turn right onto Benton Creek Rd and drive for 2.3 miles, crossing over two low water crossings. Just before the 3rd low water crossing, you will find a gate on the right side of the road. Behind the gate you will see some heavy equipment and an old red truck to the right behind a large cedar tree. Through the gate there is a house and some small buildings. The cemetery is on a hill behind another house in a wooded area. The present owners are very helpful and will show you to the cemetery. There is a road behind the house which will get you close to the graves.
