First burial 1831. "Located 0.2 mile east of the Hinsdale/Peru town line on Route 143. On your left is a break in the stone wall. Walk into an open field, somewhat overgrown. At the back of the field are some trees. Walk toward them, veering toward your right. Pass over some large stones in the ground. Burial ground is located on your left across from a very large boulder. There are only two stones. Allegedly, there were more at one time. Both are quite legible. The cemetery, quite difficult to find, is located on private property."
