Add PhotosCONDITION: This family cemetery is not protected by a fence and cattle have trampled and broken the stones. There was some underbrush but the ground was reasonably clear. This survey was made July 25, 1976.
2012- Stones reportedly been moved to a ravine towards I-64 by unknown person.
1. Joseph Metcalf, died Aug 17, 1840, aged 74 years, 6 months, 12 days. – Stone down, stone broken in a line starting just above the "J" in Joseph and running downward and to the right through the figure 8 in 1840. Foot Marker initialed J. M., which is also down.
2. Sacred to the Memory, Jesse Metcalf, born April 16th, 1800, died July 10, 1837. – Stone down, stone broken in a line running through the "J" in Jesse.
3. To the memory of Corban P. Bull, ______(unreadable), 1830. – Stone down and completely shattered. Only five pieces, containing the inscription above, were found. No other parts could be located.
4. ______(unreadable) the memory of ___ary Bull, born June 25th, 1808, died February 15th, 1832. – Stone down, stone broken into three parts. On the top right side of the stone the surface has flaked off leaving no inscription. Foot marker initialed M. H., which is also down. (Makes me wonder if the H isn't a B for Mary Bull – seems logical – my words – Donnie)
5. SA______ ______ _____e me_____ _____, _lizabeth Metcalf, born November 8th, 1____, died ____e 26, 183_. Stone down and badly shattered and part of the surface has flaked off. Foot marker also down and initialed E. H. M. (Obviously, an Elizabeth H. Metcalf)
