Add PhotosFrom Raleigh, Ms. take Hwy 35 South about 2 miles turn left on Hwy 37 and go about 3 miles. Turn left on Smith County Rd 84 and go about 2 1/2 miles. Take County Rd 93 North about 1 mile. Cemetery is located about 1 mile due Northeast off the Main Rd, and is accessed with difficulty, as no road leads to the Cemetery.
Some of the People buried there were victims killed in a tornado on March 31, 1933, the Cemetery was named by the writer of the 1968 Cemetery Book. The tornado struck near Bezer, between Taylorsville & Raleigh. According to the WPA report, one home was demolished, and seven persons killed. It was the home of Bill Mccrimmon He, his wife and baby were killed, also three members of the Allen Family, and Fate Chisholm. Only one marker was found mathing the date of the tornado, a military marker for William McCrimmon, beside which was a concrete base with no inscription.
