Add PhotosLangford left Tennesse where they were born and came to Missouri, they purchased a land patent in Dade County at Springfield, Missouri May 15, 1857. He bought 120 acres, E. 1/2, NE Aliquot Section 35, Township 33 N, Range 26 W, meridian 5th P.M., State of Missouri, County of Dade. I believe they lived in Cedar County at the time of the purchase.
The infant Muhulda E. Langford died in 1869, she was buried on the Langford Farm. Andrew died in 1881 and was also buried near the Baby girl. When Mahulda died in 1892, she was buried in the same plot on the Langford Farm, and when he died in 1898, he also was buried in the plot next to his wife.
There are only four (4) graves in the little cemetery. The other two are of two of their children, Andrew W. Langford and Mahulda E. Langford who died as an Infant.
The land is now owned by George Landers. The old house is still standing unless it has been torn down recently. Billy John Langford, son of Harvey Langford was taking care of the cemetery.
In locating the cemetery, if you are on Highway #160, turn on Highway #245, which is between Greenfield & Everton. Pass through Dadeville, and when you reach Bona, turn left (West)on Highway #215,turn right when you reach the sign for Cane Hill, which is still on #215. Soon you will notice a sign for the Fullington Cemetery, turn left and follow this small gravel road until you reach the crossroads. The land beginning at the corner was the old Langford Farm, and on it is the Langford Private Cemetery.
The address was Route #1, Dadeville, Missouri.
