Two Become One...

Lumen Christi Catholic Church was formed on July 1, 2005 with the merger of St. Cecilia Parish in Thiensville and St. James Parish in Mequon. We celebrated the rich histories of both parish communities merged as one in faith, worship, service and education on July 16, 2005, with an outdoor liturgy at which Reverend Thomas D. DeVries was formally installed as Pastor by the Most Reverend Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of Milwaukee.

New Gate for Cemetery
Jim Piotrowski showed the PC a drawing of the new gate which would face the Mequon Road entrance. Cost would be $3542.00. Jim will research if we have to keep the St James or if we can use our new name of Lumen Christi Cemetery.

This cemetery is now called Lumen Christi and the previous name was St. James.
