Location: 600 ft north of Old Mill Lane, Opposite Gas Co. at telephone pole # 16

50ft x 50ft in poor condition enclosed with a stone wall; sign missing

Surveyed by:
[1] George H. Richardson (GHR) [Oct. 1892] in his Richardson Scrapbook 974 now at Newport Historical Society. He described the location of the "Dennis Ground" as "Old Ogden Farm of Portsmouth, east of Wapping Road, north of the house."
[2] Patricia Bodine and Denise Johnson [14 Apr. 1976] "very poor condition: the stones were cracked, all but three knocked down, some faces drilled into, rusty iron pipes scattered throughout, the fence in need of repair. Partial remains of a tomb different from the one recorded were also found, but no inscriptions could be read. They found two stones signed "E. Smith, jun."
