Several years ago the owner of the house tore all the headstones out and piled them up. The current owner (2011) attempted to replace them in as close to the original location as possible, rebuilt a fence and is taking wonderful care of what is left. According to the DeKalb County Historical Society, there were "about 22" burials here, but the cemetery has not been used since the Civil War.
