I was raised near this cemetery, which sat in what at the time was an open field between my parents house and our next door neighbor 400 yards to the northwest. In the late 1960s, the Cemtery was surrounded by Osage Orange Trees. There were numerous sandstone slabs that acted as footstones and/or unmarked headstones, including some outside the ring of trees. When I visited in 2015, all of these stones had been removed.

Blackmore Cemetery in 1970, shortly after the Osage Orange trees were cut. Note that there was another row with at least two graves behind the row with the Blackmore stones. The current fence cuts across these graves, and the stone in front of the top left stump now sits in the row of the Blackmore graves. There were additional apparent graves outside the ring of trees marked only with unfinished sandstone slabs set vertically.
