Jennings Family Cemetery
Draper, Pulaski County, Virginia, USA
Located on the hillside just off Brown Road and not far from New River. This property along with hundreds of acres was once owned by the Jennings family and is now surrounded by many beautiful homes of all sizes.
This small cemetery is missing two grave stones and it is unknown just how many Jennings family members are actually buried here. The cemetery is now surrounded by a short stone wall and maintained by relatives who live near by.
A very short distance down the road from the cemetery is the old Jennings family home now restored and restored and used as a beautiful bed and breakfast called the Homestead Inn. It stands majestically overlooking what's now known as Claytor Lake.
The Jennings home is now used for weddings and parties as well. A fine tribute to the happy days remembered by many who once lived there.
A stone wall around the patio still holds the initials of family members who helped build the wall etched in cement and pictures of the original home hang on the walls inside.
*I am a Jennings descendant, if you are also a descendant and would like to contact me please go to my link under the photos of the cemetery. Thanks, Laural N. D.
