This cemetery is of historic significance to Guilford County and yet is arguably one of the worst kept. Overgrown after decades of neglect it is difficult to find anything.

Photo taken July 2016. The fence and gate are completely overgrown; the arrow points to where the gate is. Gravestones are visible through the overgrowth. If you try to visit, you can use the very tall evergreen and the Texaco sign (on the right) as reference points if needed. The cemetery is accessed from North Bunker Hill Road. Between Marshall Smith Road and Atkins Lake Lane, on the same side of N. Bunker Hill as Marshall Smith Road, there's a log cabin style home with a gravel driveway. The driveway continues past the home with a slight left, then curves around to the right. The cemetery will be on the left side of this gravel road, which has some ruts and should be driven with caution. It would be advisable to contact the owners of the home if you're going to be spending time at the cemetery as the gravel road runs across their property, although the cemetery is not owned by them. It's a fairly isolated location and I wouldn't advise trying to visit by yourself.
