Asbury United Methodist Church is a traditionally black church in the rural southern section of what was until 1963, Princess Anne County (now the city of Virginia Beach). It is located on the east side of Princess Anne Road. The address of the church is 1392 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23457 and the phone number is (757) 855-2716. The church cemetery is located directly behind the church and the restored one-room schoolhouse next door to the church.

From the plaque in front of the old schoolhouse next to Asbury UMC:
"Pleasant Ridge Elementary School
Relocated in 1915 to serve as a one room schoolhouse for the black children of Virginia Beach. This restoration will serve as a historic reminder of early education in Virginia Beach.
This Renovation Project was completed in 1997 by the Sheriff Frank Drew Community Work Force in cooperation with Councilwoman Barbara Henley."
