Historic Leach Cemetery Entrance Gates are pictured here. Located in Anderson County, Tennessee, the Historic Leach Cemetery began as a family graveyard. It is said that the Leach Cemetery was begun by John Leach, Sr. He may have been the first person to have been buried in the graveyard, but there is no marker indicating where his grave is located.

I walked into this historical place of great sadness. The mood of the sky matched my own feelings, trying to imagine those dark days in 1902. Entire family names were erased here. The cemetery is beautiful. My day was well spent.
