Cameron's Chapel Methodist Church is located in what was known as the "Rocky Hill Community" of Crenshaw County, Alabama. From Brantley, go West on Highway 29. Take a right on State 106 an estimated four miles from the center of Brantley (intersection of 331 and 29). On 106 go for another estimated four miles and turn right onto dirt road. The dirt road will fork. The Church and Cemetery are located at that fork. It is believed that Joel Nichols was a co-founder of the Cameron's Methodist Church. His son George is buried there. Joel left this Church and became a member of the Mt. Ida Methodist Church several miles away. He is buried at the Mt. Ida Cemetery.
