This is a very old cemetery, active and well maintained. It serves the rural community around it and was also the cemtery for the Mount Zion (Creepaum) United Brethren Church between 1892 and 1961. The old Creekpaum road ran between the church and the cemetery as it does today. On the east side of the road is the cemetery and on the west side is the church and the Creekpaum school. The church steps are still there with a dedication plaque. Creekpaum road ran from Rt. 4 to the cemetery, before the coal mines closed it in 2000 for mining purposes.
