Stephen George Yancey passed away, October 18, 2004, after a short battle with cancer. He was born Aug 4, 1954 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Jesse T. and Doris Jeffrey Yancey. He married Carla Westover in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 9, 1976. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions, but loved his time spent Scouting. He was a master craftsman, woodworker, an avid reader, and enjoyed Dutch Oven cooking. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandson. Survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters: Amy (Ryan) Rasmussen, Ammon (Karla) Yancey, Caleb Yancey, Rachel Yancey, Sarah Yancey, one grandson Remington, his mother, a brother, Paul Yancey, two sisters Christine Neilson and Beth Schmitt. Preceded in death by his father and son Benjamin. Funeral services held Thursday, Oct 21 in the Highland 6th Ward, 6400 W 11000 N. Interment in Highland City Cemetery.
