FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. YANCEY HELD IN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH TUESDAY AFTERNOON, MARCH 5, 1946

Elizabeth Jane Wilson was born June 5, 1865 [ed: 1866], at Callao, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse and Jane Kelso Wilson, and passed away last Friday, March 1, 1946, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul F. Cole, in Springfield, Missouri, after a short illness.

She was married December 22, 1886, at Newark, Missouri, to William H. Yancey, who passed away September 18, 1938. Four children were born to this union, viz., Nora, the wife of Dr. Paul F. Cole, of Springfield, Missouri; Romney and Bertha, who are deceased, and Lyman K., of Quincy; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Drake, and a half-brother, Jesse Wilson, of Memphis, Missouri, survive.

The body was brought to LaBelle, her home town, Sunday, where funeral services were held Tuesday in the Presbyterian church, of which she was a member, conducted by Rev. David Kinnard, of Quincy, a former pastor. Burial was in Labelle cemetery.

Singers were: Mrs. David Wilson, Mrs. Lawrence Green, Mrs. Phillip Ross and Mrs. Earl Nixon Haldeman, with Mrs. Herschel Redding at the piano.

Pallbearers were: Walter Smith, Thomas Wilson, Horace Smith, Phillip Ross, Charles Roush and Ross Scoggin.

Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Paul F. Cole, of Springfield, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Lyman K Yancey and daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bartelt, and Mrs. D. Muster, of Quincy; children of Mrs. Alfred Drake, of Memphis; Mrs. A. Glover, Mrs. Harry Steffen and Mr. Rich, of Newark; T.L. Yancey of Canton, and Mrs. Rial McReynolds and Mrs. Callie Anderson, of Knox City.
