Rites Pending for Masimino Bregante


Funeral arrangements are pending for Masimino Bregante, Santa Barbara resident for 41 years, who died Saturday in a local hospital.


A native of Genoa, Italy, Mr. Bregante came to Santa Barbara at the age of 19. He was employed on the Parma ranch in Montecito for many years.


He is survived by his widow, Adelida; four sons, John, of Goleta, Private Leo J. and Private Dominic, both now in the Southwest Pacific with the Army, and Technical Sergeant Alfred, now returning from India where he has been stationed with the Army, as well as several nieces and nephews.


The family home is at 1016 East Cota street.


Pallbearers at the funeral will be Amabile Bosio, Victor Chierici, Martin Dezzuti, Ben Dismuke, Peter Mautino and Emilio Marra.
