Nathaniel Yancey Sr. of the 900 block of Freedom Ave., died April 20, 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Constance M. Yancey; one daughter, Cynthia L. Yancey of Norfolk; two sons, Nathaniel Yancey of Portsmouth and Mark Yancey of Norfolk; two sisters, Lula Mae Sewell and Delores Rand, both of Garner, N.C.; three brothers, Alexander Yancey of Virgilinia, Va., Lathan Myatt of Charleston, S.C., and William ``Bill'' Myatt of Garner, N.C.; grandchildren, Michael A. Everett, Eugene Everett, Nakoya Yancey, Senica Yancey and Nathaniel Yancey III, all of Norfolk, and Natalie Barnes of New York; three great-grandchildren, Jazmine Garrett, Julia Garrett and Andre Michael Everett, all of Norfolk; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Brother Alexander Hill. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
