Barrows'

Members of the BARROWS family. There were many intermarriages between BARROWS and BROWN (John Brown & Nancy WOOD descendants) in Broome County, NY in the 1800's - 1900's, to where a number of Brown-Wood's are of BARROWS descent, and vice versa. Among the BARROWS-BROWN's of Central NY, the common ancestral couple were Seth BARROWS, Jr. & Ruth Ann ATWOOD. Ruth Ann ATWOOD, was Seth Jr.'s 2nd cousin. Seth Jr.'s parents were Seth BARROWS (Sr.) & Abigail ATWOOD. Ruth Ann's father Samuel ATWOOD was Abigail ATWOOD's 1st cousin. Ruth Ann ATWOOD, via her mother Patience (COBB) Atwood, was a Mayflower Descendant. That means all the BARROWS-BROWN's are Mayflower Descendants.
