A Virtual Cemetery created by 4th Michigan Infantry

Those Who Never Came Home

At the recommendation of my friend Jan(BluMoKitty),this is a virtual cemetery for those soldiers of the Fourth Michigan Infantry who died during the Civil War but whose gravesites are unknown or unmarked. Their remains may lie in the fields of battle or the obscure cemeteries near the wartime hospitals where they died of disease. While without a stone to identify and acknowlege their personal contribution in this nation's greatest trial, this virtual cemetery is a small way of rendering them their due. They cannot be forgotten if we continue to remember them.....
