1937 CCC Firefighters Killed

10 young men from CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) assigned to Bastrop, Texas, died while fighting a forest fire near Cody Wyoming on August 21, 1937. Five men of the forestry service and the Park Rangers were also killed. Total loss of 15 lives.
