From Struggles to Success: A Teacher's Journey in Education

I was born in a small town where education was valued, but for me, learning to read was a struggle from the very beginning. I remember feeling frustrated and embarrassed as my classmates made their way through books while I stumbled over every word.

Despite the challenges I faced, I never gave up on my dream of becoming educated and making a difference in the world. My parents, both of whom were supporters , one a secretary at the school, the other a physician assistant, encouraged me to persevere and never stop trying. With their unwavering support, I slowly but steadily improved my reading skills.

As I grew older, my love for politics and history blossomed. I devoured books and documentaries, eager to learn more about the world and its complexities. I found my passion in the stories of great leaders and the triumphs and challenges they faced.

After high school, I decided to pursue a career in education, hoping to inspire and empower students who, like me, struggled in school. I obtained not just my bachelors but my master's degree in education (Curriculum and Instruction) and began my journey as a teacher, specializing in Government and Politics.

Teaching became my passion, and I found joy in educating and engaging with my students, sharing my love for politics and history with them. I want to instill in them a sense of curiosity and a desire to make a difference in their communities and around the world.

Driven by my commitment to continuous growth and improvement, I decided to further my education by pursuing a second master's degree in Educational Administration. I saw this as an opportunity to not only enhance my own knowledge and skills but also to better serve my students and the school and others around the world.

Today, I am a dedicated teacher, striving to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. I continue to share my passion for politics and history with my students, inspiring them to think critically and engage with the world around them.

My journey from struggling reader to accomplished teacher is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of believing in yourself. I hope to continue making a positive impact on the lives of my students and to inspire them to reach their full potential, just as my parents and mentors did for me.
