When I started to dig into my ancestry, I stumbled upon this site. The added benefit of being free was nice too! When I found that some of my ancestor's gravestones were already photographed/documented, I found it to be most helpful. I did not notice the volunteer contributor option right away. With time on my hands, I thought it would be nice to offer to others what I had received during my research. I live within walking distance from Mount Pleasant Cemetery in South Portland, ME and tried to fill requests here and there. I have since sought out other names that have not yet been photographed within this cemetery and made it a goal to post a picture for all that I could confirm. There are some stones that are not readable and some plots that are documented, but with no headstone. If I can take a better picture and/or verify an inscription, I'd be happy to oblige.
