Find a Grave ID

Bio

I use the FAG app to process photos and GPS especially when in cemeteries. If I do not send a source with suggested edits, it is because the app has no place for notes in the current version and the source is literally the gravestone (albeit my very own brother's gravestone has an incorrect date).

What started as family tree research has evolved into cemetery jaunts. I have had an interest in walking cemeteries since a child but "forgot" until Find A Grave "reminded" me. I think it is really important to mark gravestones with GPS and a photo. I am happy to contribute in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

While some feel we should not photograph temporary markers, sometimes that is all anyone ever has and it also marks GPS when I do this. I have a relatable story but it's long so suffice it to say I am in favor of all photos. I am glad for edits to make things accurate or add info. It is better to have less info than incorrect data but respect others wishes too if possible.

PHOTOGRAPHS: You are free to use my photographs for non commercial purposes if you include "Photo by Marcy McVicker".

WANT TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL? I'm happy to transfer unless my relative. Please be honest and just tell me if you are related or not. I'm not trying to hoard so you do not have to be untruthful if you just want to manage a non related memorial. To make the request- from the memorial page, click "Suggest Edits" and then scroll down to "Contact Manager". Include request to manage and relationship in pop up then send message .
