Bio

My personal ancestry journey was truly sparked when I found success and intrigue when tracing back my roots for a highschool history project. I acquired copies of historic documents, keepsakes of my family - things like birth, marriage and death certificates, but also photos, military enlistment records, education and achievement certificates.

I have always felt a sense of insecurity being only a Canadian - having such a long history of ancestors being traced to birth long before the country was even established, but being apart of such an incredibly proud culturally diverse nation. I am sure that everyone in the country feels immensely regretful of Canadas shadows coming into light more in more every year. I feel a personal responsibility to uncover my ancestors past, not only to initiate reconciliation and transcend the burdens we might be carrying such as unconscious beliefs, biases and sheer guilt – but also to create peace in this awareness.

I believe the heaven can truly be a place on earth, but in order to create peace we must learn to understand that we are all apart of the same whole. In awareness we will find unity.
